نصح - nasaha - advise

Weak verbs - have a و or ي as one or more of the root radicals

  • الفعل المثال (al-fi3l al-mitaal) Assimilated verbs - begin with و or ي (usually و); in the imperfect and in other situations the وoften disappears
    • وضع waDa3a - يضع yaDa3u (to put)
    • وصل waSala - يصل yaSilu (to arrive)

 

ḍaraba - hit

 رفض - rafaḍa, refuse

 

fa'ala - he did

 

 sallama - he protected

 kafara - hide / cover

naṣara - help

sharaka - to share or associate with

talaba - seek / ask for (eg a coffee??)

  ‘I believe(d)’ = Credo = amantu.
